On October 30, 2025, a regional workshop of the AEQUALIS4TCLF project took place in Lithuania, focusing on strengthening digital and green skills in the textile and clothing sector. The event was held in Alytus, at a local textile company, bringing together members of the Lithuanian Apparel and Textile Industry Association (LATIA).
During the workshop, participants were introduced to the Digital Product Passport (DPP) concept – a new European Union requirement that will become mandatory for the textile sector starting in 2027. The discussions covered how companies can prepare for this transition and the benefits of greater supply chain transparency, improved data management, and more sustainable production practices.
The event aimed to foster regional skills partnerships, share best practices, and support Lithuanian textile companies in getting ready for upcoming EU sustainability initiatives.
The AEQUALIS4TCLF project brings together 19 partners from 7 countries and seeks to strengthen the capabilities of the textile, clothing, leather, and footwear sectors in transitioning toward a circular and digital economy.
