AEQUALIS4TCLF is a four-year Erasmus+ Blueprint project addressing skills gaps across Europe’s textile, clothing, leather and footwear industries. The project brings together 19 industry organisations, chambers, vocational education and training providers, and higher education institutions from across Europe.

The project connects skills intelligence, sectoral strategies, regional partnerships and education. Its work supports the development of new micro-credentials and learning materials, followed by pilot training for workers, learners and professionals. Particular attention is given to the green and digital transitions, equality, inclusion, workplace well-being and the attractiveness of TCLF careers.

Objectives of The Project

  1. Anticipate emerging skills needs.
    • Identify the green, digital, technical and transversal skills required across the TCLF industries through research, surveys, focus groups and consultation with companies and education providers.
  2. Translate skills strategies into action.
    • Support the implementation of the EU TCLF Skills Strategy through seven national skills strategies and regional skills partnerships involving industry, education providers, public authorities and social partners.
  3. Develop future-oriented learning pathways.
    • Create eight training pathways, comprising 18 modules and 40 individual micro-credentials at EQF levels 4–7, responding to current and emerging labour-market needs.
  4. Pilot and improve new training.
    • Produce learning materials, quizzes and short educational videos, and test the new programmes through online and institutional pilot activities, including delivery through DigiCampus and a mobility exchange.
  5. Promote inclusive and attractive workplaces.
    • Support equality, diversity, innovation and workplace well-being, while helping TCLF companies attract, retain and develop skilled people.

AEQUALIS4TCLF is designed for companies, workers, learners, education providers, social partners and public authorities involved in the textile, clothing, leather and footwear industries.

The project provides practical strategies, partnerships and learning opportunities that can help people develop the skills required in a rapidly changing industrial environment.

Connecting skills projects through ECOSYSTEX

Through AEQUALIS4TCLF, EURATEX leads the ECOSYSTEX Skills and Education Working Group, which brings together EU-funded projects working on skills, education and training for the textile ecosystem.

The group provides a space for projects to exchange knowledge, share results and identify opportunities for cooperation. Its activities include dedicated Skills Insight webinars, links between Erasmus+ skills initiatives and textile sustainability projects, and contributions to the future TCLF Skills Observatory.

Through this work, AEQUALIS4TCLF helps connect its strategies, partnerships and learning resources with a wider European community, supporting their use and impact beyond the project consortium.
