The Faculty of Technical Sciences in Čačak hosted the opening of an exhibition presenting the works of third-year students enrolled in the Clothing Engineering and Design study programme. The exhibition represents the culmination of their academic and practical training, presenting the entire garment development process – from initial ideas and creative sketches, through theoretical and technical solutions, to the final production of completed garments.
The students successfully developed their projects in cooperation with partner companies and industry mentors, making use of resources and production facilities available in real industrial environments. The success of the exhibition was further supported by the professors and teaching assistants of the study programme, who provided professional guidance and mentorship throughout all stages of the design and garment construction process.
A particularly important aspect of the exhibited works was the application of knowledge and skills developed within the AEQUALIS4TCLF project. During the preparation of the students’ projects, professors drew upon competencies acquired through the development of modern and innovative curricula and micro-credential programmes created within the framework of the project. As a result, students were able to apply innovative digital tools for garment construction and pattern making, as well as principles of sustainable design through the use of recycled materials in the production of their final models.
The exhibition was attended by representatives of garment companies from Čačak, students from secondary schools specializing in textile and garment education, as well as their teachers and mentors. The event was also covered by local media, including a local television station, which reported on the exhibition and presented the achievements of the AEQUALIS4TCLF project to a wider audience. On this occasion, Prof. Vesna Petrović, PhD, and Prof. Goran Majstorović, PhD, presented the project’s achievements to date and highlighted the importance of integrating project-acquired knowledge into the teaching process and the development of high-quality student work.
The exhibition represents not only the final assessment of one generation of students, but also a demonstration of their readiness to meet the challenges of the modern garment industry through the application of innovative technologies, sustainable solutions, and practice-oriented knowledge.
