What is the Pact for Skills?
The EU Pact for Skills is an initiative of the European Commission that brings together companies, education and training providers, public authorities, and social partners to develop, improve, and update skills across Europe’s workforce.
This cooperation supports the transition towards a greener, more digital, and more resilient economy.
Why it matters
The Pact aims to:
- Support regions and sectors in adapting to the green and digital transitions
- Reduce skills shortages and improve employment opportunities
- Strengthen cooperation between businesses, education providers, and public authorities
